Doran's Judd powered Ferrari 333 SP. Doran Racing was able to
design and execute the Judd installation without modifying the 333SP's
tub or gearbox/bellhousing through the use of spacer plates at both the
front and the rear to slot the shorter Judd V10 into the same space as
the Ferrari V12. Many years later when I asked the "why" behind the project, Doran said, "The Judd was lighter, more powerful, better fuel economy and cheaper than the Ferrari, need there be more?" |
