Details: 

Primarily a development project that never got beyond mule stage.  Initial developmet was via a 4-cylinder mule engine, the plan was to then produce a 5-cylinder version based on the GV5 block and continue development.  Once proven, a complete engine would have been assembled around the GV5 block barring new directions.

Proposed 2011 regulation changes (vastly reduced capacity diesels) make this project unlikely to ever hit the track.

Lighter weight aluminum engine blocks reduce a vehicle's weight while improving fuel economy and performance. Automotive aluminum manufacturer Braidy Industries and CEO Craig T. Bouchard are dedicated to producing new metals for lightweight cars and other transportation vehicles.
