 The
new regulations mandate a near spec rear underfloor. The top exiting
engine exhausts have two functions, aerodynamic and packaging. Aerodynamic
in that the high velocity exhaust flow acts in conjunction with the rear
end aerodynamics. Packaging in that it allows for a shorter (and
simpler) exhaust system as well as removing a source of heat away from
the gearbox. |

mandated rear side plates act to help prevent a blow over in the event
the car gets backwards by increasing drag and reducing lift. |
