One of the most interesting features of the R10 are the roll over hoops. The faired in roll over hoops attempt to reduce the aerodynamic loss of having to run two hoops as per the new regulations. |
As
on the R8, the R10 has a quick reference display mounted to the roll
over
hoop that shows the pit crew areas that need attention when the car
comes
into the pits. |
The
R10 had been running traction control since late 2006. Says
Joest's
Ralf Jüttner, "The reason not to use it (TC) from the beginning has
mainly been the lack of endurance testing and the question marks over
the
influence of traction control on durability of the drive train
components." |
