The
most important issue for designing an effective nose diffuser is providing
for relatively unobstructed flow through the diffuser and out the car.
In 2001 Bentley segregated the air coming out of the front wheel arch from
that of the diffuser. 
In
2002, the segregating plate was removed and the wheel well exit was combined
with the air coming from the front diffuser.
