The
single engine intake on the driver's side of the car sprouts out of an
indention in the sidepod. This indention slightly lowers the overall
height of the intake but also effectively raises the intake further
away from the top of the sidepod into cleaner air less effected by the
boundary layer. |
The
massive 6.0 liter V12's airbox is tucked in behind the driver thus reducing
frontal area. |
A great post race shot. Here we can see the airflow patterns
over the roll hoop and engine cover left by the dirt and grime. The
airflow in this region appears attached to the body work the entire time. |
