This
is the AER I4, 2.0 liter turbo as installed in the Miracle Motorsports
Courage C65. The C65 chassis can accept a variety of power
plants as diverse as the AER and Judd 3.4 liter V8, to the Willman 6 (JPX/IEX)
and Mazda
R20B. |

The
C65's engine bay is quite roomy in order to fit such a variety of power
plants. Here we can see that the AER engine is attached only to the
bell housing, there are no mount points picking up the front face of the
motor at all. In fact there is enough space between the front face
of the engine and the rear chassis bulkhead to slide the intercooler pipe
from the left hand side of the car where the turbo is located over to the
right hand side of the car where the intercooler resides. |
