The
MG has a particularly efficient from wheel fender shape. The edge
rolling outboard limits bow wake reducing overall drag. |
For
2003, Dyson Racing has encouraged Lola to continue development of the MG
chassis. The outboard front fender edge (or dive-plane cusp) has
an even harder radius to it, which makes it even more reminiscent of the
B2K/40. |
There
is an additional NACA duct in the front bodywork (next to the IMSA sticker)
to cool the front brakes calipers. The main duct in the center (partially
taped off) cools the upright and brake disc.
Reports from the field indicate that the Dyson team is abandoning the hydraulic power steering in favor of an electric unit. This change will come about after the Road Atlanta race. |
