>>Bentley to
field one chassis at Le Mans 2002, to start season off with Sebring,
and possibly end season at Petit Le Mans. Bentley confirmed that
their new engine will be a direct injection, turbo-charged, 4.0 liter V8
and will be available for testing starting this March. The new power
plant will be "developed in close cooperation with Audi". It is safe
to assume it will share much of the technological ideology, if not hardware,
that went into the Le Mans winning 2001 Audi 3.6 liter V8. The new
4.0 liter V8 will spear head Bentley's 2003 Le Mans effort.
