The Reynard 2KQ metamorphosed right before our eyes!  In retrospect it can be assessed that the original 2KQ was rolled out far ahead of schedule.  The resulting deficiencies can also be attributed to that rushed schedule to meet the Daytona outing.  Subsequently Nigel Stroud was retained by Reynard mid 2000 to 'fix' the 2KQ and his team did just that.  As a result the car bears little resemblance to how it was originally designed and its performance took a corresponding upswing.

In retrospect it is quite amazing to note this chassis' longevity in the guise of the Nasamax DM139 (2004) and ProTran RS06/H (2006).
