The  Lola B05/40.  While not the first true LMP2 to see action (the Lucchini LMP2 can claim that title), certainly the first one to draw blood.  The Lola's inaugural year was impressive and the 800-lb. Gorilla that is the Porsche LMP2 is eagerly anticipated for '06.

2005 Lola B05/40 LMP2 Specifications

Monocoque: One piece carbon fiber composite monocoque

>Judd (or "MG") normally aspirated 3.4 liter V8

Gearbox: Lola 6-speed manual sequential gearbox with auto-shift option.  Lightweight magnesium case.
Clutch: AP Racing
Steering: Rack and pinion.
Kyaba power steering option will be available
Suspension: The front and rear uprights are fabricated from aircraft spec steel and TIG welded. 

Both front and rear suspension use double fabricated steel wishbones with pushrods and rockers transmitting the loads to Ohlins T44 dampers (3 way adjustment).

Brakes: Hitco Carbon discs and pads, AP Racing calipers and master cylinders.  Discs (front & rear) 355 mm dia.
